Shining – poem

Maybe you didn’t hear me.
I stepped out of the spotlight
not because I don’t belong there,
but because the myth
of the stage
became my only color.

Suck on my skin. Ask me
in, they all do.

But hear this, hear this
again.  I am a reader
of people, a writer of
proverbs and the sex
you want can be yours
for this simple adjustment:

see more than that.
See me (shine).
